The Zarya Diaries

In other areas of the site you will find mission summaries and satellite information that contain diaries of events. This section brings all diary entries into one place. It is by no means a complete record of space history, indeed it hardly touches the surface. It does, however, put the events of one programme into the chronological context of the others.

A major part of the diary that is not yet covered by web pages elsewhere on the site is a chronology of the development and deployment of the Soviet Union's "Zenit" recoverable satellites - closely related to the Vostok and Voskhod space vehicles.

There may be errors and if you spot one, a short e-mail of notification will be appreciated. Use the Contact icon in the left hand menu.
